In Transfer Value, you estimate the fee for the historic transfer shown. You are not judging what the player would be worth today.
How the estimate works
The card shows the player, selling club, buying club and year. Set an amount between €0 and €250 million with the slider and confirm your guess. The slider can also be operated by keyboard. In the browser, a difference of no more than €10 million from the stored quiz value counts as correct. After the reveal, you see the reference value and difference. One mistake ends the streak.
CALCULATION · FICTIONAL QUIZ VALUE
How large is the permitted difference?
Assume a stored value of €60 million. This figure only explains the rules and does not describe an actual transfer.
Evaluate the example
A guess of €52 million is eight million away and counts as correct. €50 million and €70 million are also within the tolerance. €49 million is eleven million away and is incorrect. The absolute difference is what matters: |guess − quiz value| ≤ 10.
How to narrow down an amount
Read the year and direction of the move first. Then consider the player's career stage at the time. A famous name alone is not a reliable benchmark. Start with a broad range and refine your estimate instead of immediately choosing a seemingly precise amount.
Distinguish fee, market value and total package
A transfer fee concerns a specific move. A market value is an assessment and may differ. Reports about the same move can also give different figures—for example, one may include only a fixed payment while another includes potential add-ons. Currency and reference date must also be comparable.
KickQuiz treats stored fees as editorial quiz estimates, not authoritative financial information. If you find conflicting evidence, send the player, transfer year and source to support. Please also say whether the source includes add-ons. The general data sources page explains how football data is handled.
